Our statement on the steps we take to prevent slavery and human trafficking within our organisation and our supply chains. It applies to every associate and to every supplier we work with.

Introduction and purpose
This is the Modern Slavery Statement for KCL Skills & Assessment Centre ("KCL", "we", "us") — Kings Centre of Learning. It is followed and promoted by all members of the organisation, and applies to all associates and to every supplier in our supply chain.

Principles and values
KCL is committed to improving our practices and procedures to combat slavery and human trafficking. We do this by taking steps to ensure, as far as we are able, that our supply chains are free from slavery and human trafficking.

Our organisation and supply chains
KCL was established in 2022 and has since provided children and young people with bespoke, holistic packages of education that support them to re-engage with more formal education at a pace that works for them. We draw on a wide pool of employees and suppliers to deliver our services.
Our supply chains currently include furniture and equipment, ICT hardware, and educational supplies. We have considered which of these could be at higher risk of slavery or human trafficking.

Due diligence
To help identify the risk of slavery and human trafficking within our supply chains, we operate a risk-based approach to due diligence with new suppliers. This can include:
- Seeking out general information on any new supplier and understanding their corporate structure.
- Assessing supplier financial stability — our Finance Director reviews recent and previous company accounts.
- Ensuring suppliers can provide adequate assurances of their own commitment to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking.
- Ensuring suppliers have the relevant health and safety policies and procedures in place.

Monitoring our effectiveness
We monitor our effectiveness in combating slavery and human trafficking by responding immediately to, and reviewing, any report from an employee or a law enforcement agency that indicates a modern slavery or human trafficking practice within our supply chain.
We are committed to ensuring our employees feel empowered and knowledgeable about modern slavery and human trafficking. We monitor their awareness, provide training where appropriate, and continue to raise awareness of these issues across the organisation more broadly.
